It’s All About Relationships Part 2- Creating Sacred Spaces

You know those moments when you realize a relationship is sacred? Not because it’s perfect or lifelong, but because you intersected with someone at just the right time. It’s powerful. And when that connection lasts through multiple seasons of life—it’s a gift. This is what Darren and I talk about in our latest conversation together on the podcast series, It’s All About Relationships.

The question we keep coming back to is: does the person across from me feel cared for, seen, and heard? We all long for that. Whether it’s a friend who remembers the little details or someone who checks in during your work grind—those small gestures are where connection grows. But real relationships require more than presence in the moment. They need follow-up, curiosity, and the willingness to ask: How can I be a better friend to you?

We all have different ways we relate—some of us move toward people, others step back, and some move against. There’s no wrong style, but it helps to pause and ask, What’s my motive? Healthy connection takes reflection, honesty, and grace. Relationships aren’t static—they’re alive, evolving, and sometimes hard. But that’s what makes them meaningful. We don’t have to think alike or live the same to love each other well. We just need to create safe spaces to be ourselves, hold each other’s stories gently, and remember—we’re in this together. Always.

If this resonates with you, join our conversation and maybe take a moment this week to check in with someone you care about. Ask a deeper question. Be curious. And if you’re growing in this area too, share this episode with a friend—it might be the spark for the kind of connection you both need.
