“Being intentional about who you listen to supports
the mindset you want to cultivate.”
Taking time to listen to voices that inspire and encourage will support you as you face the ever changing moments in your life. It’s like filling your inner fuel tank to ensure you have what you need for the journey. Take encouraging voices on a walk with you, or on the treadmill at the gym or simply while you are doing mundane tasks around the house.
Here’s some voices above the noise that are saying things worth paying attention to:
Ransomed Heart Podcasts & Daily Readings
This is one of my favorite resources that discusses day-to-day spiritual living. I like how deep they go in their podcast conversations and I appreciate how they aren’t afraid of giving personal examples of what it means to walk with God. Other great resources include daily emails to written prayers that soothes the spirit. It’s my ‘go to’ app when I’m trying to re-center myself for what I believe about God.
Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper
This is a weekly email that comes every Sunday. Her opening article is mindful as she discusses spirituality and living purposefully. And I especially like the news she shares! Her inspiring stories highlight people doing great things in what she calls, “Architects of Change”. So grateful for news that uplifts!
Enneagram Institute Daily Readings
If you’re trying to better understand your Enneagram number (I’m a 2), I like these quick snippets that come daily to my email. If you don’t know what the Enneagram is, it’s a personality test to help you better understand how you relate to the world. You can take the test on this website to assess your personality and learn all about what makes you tick! Also, check out these two podcasts that interview the different personality types on the enneagram:
Oprah’s Super Soul Conversations
I have enjoyed her interviews from Brene Brown, Melinda Gates to Richard Rohr and Rob Bell. And I like that I can pick and choose who I hear since I can read in the titles who she’s interviewing.
James Clear
This is a weekly email to live more mindfully as you form better habits and continuously choose to grow. This is food for the mind that gives me something to ‘chew on’.
Encounter
This is a soothing podcast that helps you practice mindful meditation and the presence of God throughout your day. I find this especially helpful when I can’t sleep or wake too early and want to start my day out right.
I hope you enjoy some of these favorite voices in my head! Being intentional about who you listen to supports the mindset you want to cultivate.
My heart is with you and for you,
Heather
