Part of my plan to Thrive (not just Survive) includes annual “MeRetreats.” These are two- or three-day trips I take by myself to just get away from my normal life. Getting into a new environment helps me to see things from a fresh perspective.
I’ve gone to bed-&-breakfasts, beaches, vineyards, and monasteries. Stepping away like this gives me a chance to slow down, get into nature, and get to know myself outside of the roles I hold in my daily life.
